Mackay & Stewart was established in 1974 by Mr Ewen Mackay. Previous to this, Ewen left school at the tender age of 15 years to embark on a career in the manufacture and traditional design of handmade kilts, and Highland wear. Over the years, Ewen has accrued a vast knowledge of the history of kiltmaking and its design, as well as its uses. This acquired knowledge is now being handed down to a new generation of craftsmen/women and kiltmakers, passionate individuals who take the greatest of pride in their craftsmanship and expertise.

Here at MacKay & Stewart we take pride in taking the time to professionally make each one of our quality kilts. We take the process from initial measurements to fitting you with any one of our designs in any tartan you choose.
We only use the finest Scottish materials to ensure your kilt is of the highest quality.
